In the middle of a vineyard in Ventas Blancas, you can find the remains of a Visigothic basilica built in the 6th century.

Today’s route, perfect for gravel riding, alternates between road and trails, including a stretch of road (the new Murillo bypass) that I had to take because I didn’t know where to continue 😂.

Once in Ventas Blancas, after visiting the hermitage, we stopped for a Coke at the bar before heading back towards Logroño via the Ribafrecha road, and from there, taking the trail to Alberite where we can connect with the Roman Road of Iregua or one of the many other alternatives
